Kholoud Y. Hassan is a professional full-time freelance translator working exclusively in the English-Arabic and Arabic-English language pairs.
She has always had a passion for languages and what more to satisfy this passion other than translation. Translation helps her use her creativity to move back and forth between different languages while conveying meaning, culture, tone and words and addressing the right message to the target audience.
For Kholoud, translation is not only a profession and career but also a passion.
Two language-related BAs is no surprise for a language-passionate person. In 2006, Kholoud graduated with a degree in English Literature from Grinnell College, Iowa, USA. In 2007, Kholoud graduated from Alexandria University, Egypt as Valedictorian of her class with a degree in linguistics & translation. Thus, she was appointed as Teacher Assistant in the English Department (Language and Translation Section) where she had taught translation and writing courses while working as a professional freelance translator.
Kholoud’s native language is Arabic and has near-native proficiency in English.
In December 2010, Kholoud moved from Egypt to New Jersey where she is living now with her husband, and working as a full-time freelance translator, serving clients from all corners of the world.
